STAGE 1 – CHOOSING THE PERFECT WOOD

- Wood is selected based on colors, patterns and tone. Most of our woods are naturally air dried.
- Pieces are rough dimensioned, joined & glued.
- Neck is straightened (12-step process).
- Neck undergoes a final join.
Body (Top):
- Wood piece is selected then quarter-sawn to produce mirrored “book matched” pieces.
- Top pieces are rough-sanded and joined.
Body (Wings):
- Wood selected for strength, aesthetics, & tone.
- Wings are rough dimensioned to approximate size and shape of the body.
- Rough top & body wings are sub-assembled using a 1700 psi vacuum press while glue dries.
