The Ultimate Experience
STAGE 1 – CHOOSING THE PERFECT WOOD
Wood is selected based on colors, patterns and tone. Most of our woods are naturally air dried.
Pieces are rough dimensioned, joined & glued.
Neck is straightened (12-step process).
Neck undergoes a final join.
Wood piece is selected then quarter-sawn to produce mirrored “book matched” pieces.
Top pieces are rough-sanded and joined.
Wood selected for strength, aesthetics, & tone.
Wings are rough dimensioned to approximate size and shape of the body.
Rough top & body wings are sub-assembled using a 1700 psi vacuum press while glue dries.
STAGE 2 – INITIAL BODY SCULPTING & SHAPING
Contouring/ergonomic shaping of neck & body.
Neck pocket and neck routing are sculpted to be as perfectly straight and tight as possible.
Cavities for pickups, bridge, and controls cut in the body.
Neck pocket & body pocket are hand-fit.
Body is profiled in preparation for final assembly.
STAGE 3 – BUILDING THE HEADSTOCK
Selection of overlay material, normally a piece that matches the body top.
Headstock is rough-dimensioned and joined.
Overlay is rough sanded and glued to headstock.
Rough headstock processes for a minimum of 24 hours to ensure strength and tone.
Rough is shaped and routed to a final size.
STAGE 4 – DESIGN & IMPLEMENTING INLAYS
All inlay materials are hand-selected.
Designs are first drawn, then converted into detailed shapes.
Shapes are precision cut.
Patterns are transferred to the fretboard.
Cavities are routed to the exact size, shape & depth of the inlay pieces.
Designs are leveled; fine details are hand-engraved and filled.
All above steps are repeated for headstock and body inlays.
STAGE 5 – FRETTING
Fret slots are calculated and marked.
Fret slots are meticulously cut to precise depth.
Slots are chamfered to prevent tear-outs when neck is refretted.
Each fret-wire “tang” is glue & inserted, tapped into position, and pressed by hand.
Tang ends are clipped as close as possible and filed flush.
STAGE 6 – FINAL SAND & FINISHING
Final shaping in preparation for custom Warrior finishing.
Instrument is completely sanded by hand.
We highly recommend Warrior Anointed Oil finish. This elite method involves a 7-stage
process using an exclusive family blend. Other finishes are available upon request.
STAGE 7 – ELECTRONICS & HARDWARE
Pickups are hand-installed.
The bone nut is hand-cut, shaped and installed.
Tuning hardware and strings are installed.
The Instrument is brought up to string tension for at least 24 hours to allow the neck to acclimate.
Backplate and knobs are attached.
Action and harmonics are set to optimal specs.
STAGE 8 – FINAL INSPECTION
Final Quality Check; JDran personally plays and signs off on every instrument.
Serial number is handwritten on the back of the headstock and the backplate.
Letter of Authentication is completed and signed by JDran.
The instrument is then securely cased and packed along with complementary collateral items.
Packaged instrument is shipped using the carrier of your choice.
